Although our name is new, we are a non-profit youth sports organization that has been providing Solano County with a quality football and cheer program for over 15 years. Each year we strive to improve the experiences for our football players, cheerleaders and families with safety always being our #1 priority.
Vanden Jr. Viking Family,
It is with great sadness that I have to announce the cancelation/postponement of our 2020 season. Although this comes with great sadness I am certain that we are making the right decision to ensure not only the safety of our kids but the safety of our community. We have held out hope longer than anyone in the community and thought that the tide would turn. We exhausted all possibilities for a safe season but none of the pros outweigh the cons. As time went on more and more teams in the league started to postpone or cancel their season which leads to another set of hurdles on which we would actually play. It is now more evident that the thought of a September or October start date will not happen and we have run out of time. With that being said there is a possibility of starting the season in January as this will be when all of the local high schools are starting this season. If this becomes the case we will reopen registration and start the season with the safety measures that will be in place for the high school season. As it pertains to cheer this means that we will only offer sideline cheer if we were to restart in January. I want to make this clear that we are ONLY canceling/postponing the 2020 season and there is a full expectation that the 2021 season will not only happen but start on time. The Vikings will continue to send out information as we receive it leading up to the possible January restart and the 2021 season. Please continue to be positive and be safe during these challenging times and we will see you all in 2021.
Mark Null, President
Vanden Jr. Vikings
The Vanden Jr Vikings would like to extend our love and support the Belk family during this difficult time. Coach Mike has been coaching and mentoring youth in the community for more than 10 years and was recently diagnosed with cancer. He and his wife have volunteered selflessly with youth organizations by coaching and serving on the board all while working and raising four children. Now he and his family need our support to help him beat this. Please keep them in your prayers and donate if you are able.
